Restaurant Saltz - Culinary Destination Zurich, Switzerland

Restaurant Saltz, located in the historic Dolder Grand hotel, offers stunning views of Zurich. Dating back to 1899, this 5-star hotel is renowned for its glamor, historical significance, and extensive art collection. The restaurant combines a relaxed yet chic atmosphere, incorporating Swiss landscapes and cultural references.

Artist Rolf Sachs curated the interior design of Restaurant Saltz, using unconventional materials like salt, rock, and neon lights to create unique furniture and décor. The space features dominant hues of blue, red, and gray, with a large rock suspended from the ceiling adding to the distinctive ambiance.

Chef Patrick Hetz developed the menu, which includes international classics and locally sourced seasonal products. The menu features uncomplicated yet sophisticated dishes, including international starters and meat specialties. Daily specials highlight regional and seasonal ingredients, with vegetarian options such as saffron ravioli.

The wine menu boasts around 250 selections from Switzerland and Europe, showcased in six wine cabinets. The Saltz bar provides a lively setting for diners to enjoy aperitifs or meals while observing the restaurant’s activity.
