A Determined Commitment to Coral Conservation Official Collaboration: World Foundation for Peace & Sustainability Partners with Reef Revival Art Show
In the wake of an unprecedented hurricane season, the urgent need to champion environmental awareness and innovation has never been clearer. This season’s storms have underscored the vital role that healthy coral reefs play in protecting our coastlines and communities. In response, we are proud to announce an official collaboration between the World Foundation for Peace and Sustainability (WFPS) and the Reef Revival Art Show, a groundbreaking initiative designed to raise awareness about coral reef preservation while supporting the mission of Global Coralition.

The Perfect Partnership
The collaboration with WFPS is not just strategic; it is rooted in shared values and a vision for a better future:
Alignment with Sustainability Goals: WFPS’s commitment to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal of Life Below Water aligns perfectly with Global Coralition’s mission, underscoring our joint dedication to environmental preservation.
Inclusivity: We are focused on partnering with the local and indigenous communities and have mapped out 50 strategic sculpture locations worldwide, with a special focus on low-income island communities. Together, we prioritize equity and justice, ensuring that our initiatives support those most vulnerable to environmental degradation.
Cross-Cultural Collaboration: We recognize the importance of preserving local heritage and cultural wisdom in conservation efforts. Our partnership fosters respect and collaboration across diverse communities.
Art as a Transformative Tool: Both WFPS and Global Coralition understand the power of art to transcend barriers and communicate complex ideas. By leveraging art, we engage a wide audience and inspire advocacy for environmental stewardship.

Q: What is your vision for WFPS and its place in the world? What actions and insights do you hope to inspire through the various projects that WFPS supports?
A: This Foundation has been developing over the last few years and we now have many important partners in the corporate and advocacy fields. In 2025, we will be initiating the full public campaign to introduce our platform and ideas to the world. Our intention is to educate and inspire people from all over the world to see their interconnectedness with our planet and each other. Then slowly and consciously, to evolve our actions on a personal, corporate and international level, so that we progress in a way that better sustains our precious planet and lives. There are actions that every single person on the planet can make that move us towards this better future. The WFPS will fund and partner with a very broad range of people and projects to bring this inspiration and change on a truly global scale.
At first, the Foundation will focus on two of the eleven pillars that make up our advocacy platform, Technology and Arts & Culture. I feel that communication through the arts and cultures can have a significant impact on individuals. We learn from stories, and a good artist is a great storyteller. They can get the point across in a deep and relatable way. So the Foundation will seek out these artistic and cultural innovators and leaders from across the globe and build the advocacy for personal awareness and actions. Everyone is involved in our planet’s future and the Foundation wants to expand the web of interconnectedness.
Q: Why were you drawn to work with Layla Love and Global Coralition? What do you envision as the Reef Revival project’s scope and impact?
A: I saw Layla’s “Rise of the Butterfly” art exhibit in New York City and was impressed by the creative power of using her art to support a broader social issue. When I began discussing the Reef Revival project with her, she was so positive in her ideas for making an impact that I was inspired and saw a perfect fit for the Foundation. In terms of interconnectedness, the ocean truly connects us all - and the coral reefs are such an important part of that vast ecosystem. Global Coralition understands this and has developed incredible programs, using art and science and local community involvement to help protect and restore those environments.
For the Reef Revival show, I see it going all over the world! The Foundation wants everyone included in the education and inspiration. It will start in New York and then we look to the next few cities and will adjust the show as needed for the locale and the people who will be viewing it. I am sure that Miami will be high on the list for the next shows - Miami has a very close relationship with the ocean!
Q: If you were to capture your vision of the Foundation in just a few words, what would they be?
A: To act in selfless service to humanity and our precious Mother Nature.

The Importance of Coral Reefs for Planetary Stability
Healthy coral reefs are essential for mitigating the effects of hurricanes and other natural disasters:
Wave Energy Reduction: Reefs absorb and dissipate wave energy, reducing the impact of storms on shorelines.
Erosion Prevention: By stabilizing sediments, coral reefs help prevent coastal erosion and protect infrastructure.
Biodiversity Support: Healthy reefs support diverse marine life, contributing to the overall resilience of coastal ecosystems.
Carbon Sequestration: Coral reefs play a role in carbon storage, helping to combat climate change.
Tourism and Livelihoods: Healthy reefs bolster local economies through tourism and fishing, aiding community recovery after disasters.
