Miami is about to host an unforgettable culinary event as two Michelin-starred chefs team up for an exclusive dining experience. Torno Subito Miami, the U.S. outpost of Chef Massimo Bottura’s Michelin-starred restaurant, will collaborate with Oro by Hotel Cipriani, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Venice, for a two-night-only event celebrating Italy’s rich culinary heritage.

The highly anticipated dinner series, "A Taste of Italy," will take place on Thursday, March 20 and Friday, March 21. The event will feature a special six-course tasting menu showcasing the talents of Chef Bernardo Paladini from Torno Subito and Chef Vania Ghedini from Oro. The menu, priced at $195 per person, offers a fusion of both chefs’ unique styles and reflects the passion, creativity and deep Italian culinary tradition they each bring to their restaurants.
Chef Bernardo Paladini, who heads Torno Subito Miami, has honed his skills alongside Massimo Bottura at the world-renowned, three-Michelin-star Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy. Since then, Paladini has brought Bottura’s signature culinary flair to Miami, blending Italian heritage with a modern, global influence. Chef Vania Ghedini, who has led Oro by Hotel Cipriani since April 2024, boasts nearly two decades of experience in some of the world’s top Michelin-starred kitchens, including Le Calandre in Italy and Sesamo Restaurant in Morocco.

The dinner series will begin with a "Welcome from the Kitchen," offering guests a taste of both Miami and Venice. From Torno Subito, guests will enjoy a dish of stone crabs in saor, a traditional Venetian seafood preservation method paired with Miami’s famous stone crabs. From Oro, guests will indulge in the Smoked Eel Tortellino, a rich combination of smoked eel, horseradish, candied lemon and ras el hanout. This dish is a tribute to Ghedini’s hometown of Ferrara, known for its pasta traditions.
One of the highlights of the evening is Torno Subito’s Risi E Bisi in Langua, a reimagined version of the classic Venetian rice and pea dish, enhanced with cuttlefish for a unique seafood twist. The meal concludes with Ghedini’s creative take on the classic Italian dessert: Crispy Tiramisú, featuring mascarpone, chocolate and coffee cream, topped with a crispy biscuit. With limited seating available for both nights, tickets for this exclusive event are available on OpenTable.
