Miami Living unveils Aston Martin Aramco's 2025 Formula One™ Car ahead of F1 Miami Grand Prix.
In celebration of the upcoming F1 Miami Grand Prix, Miami Living presents an exclusive look at the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team’s 2025 challenger: the AMR25. A product of intensive engineering evolution and aerodynamic refinement, the AMR25 is crafted to deliver enhanced drivability, predictability, and stability—enabling drivers Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso to extract maximum performance on the circuit.
More than 90 percent of the AMR25’s aerodynamic surfaces differ from its predecessor, reflecting a comprehensive redesign aimed at optimizing airflow and improving overall efficiency. Key updates include a reshaped front wing, refined rear wing, reprofiled sidepods, and a redesigned engine cover—all strategically engineered to enhance downforce, balance, and cooling.
The rear wing plays a pivotal role in aerodynamic performance, designed to provide substantial mechanical grip for superior cornering. While a larger wing increases downforce, it also creates more drag, which the AMR25’s design team has carefully balanced to maintain straight-line speed without compromising stability.
On the bodywork, the most visible transformation is seen in the recontoured sidepods. Deep undercuts and an upper-surface channel help manage airflow, while a reconfigured radiator layout supports efficient thermal regulation of the 1.6-litre V6 turbo-hybrid power unit. A razor-sharp engine cover spine and integrated cooling systems—such as louvres and a rear-facing cooling cannon—further contribute to heat management and aerodynamic effectiveness.
Up front, the AMR25’s front wing has been significantly evolved from the version introduced late last season. These updates target improved low-speed downforce and enhance the vehicle's balance, particularly during complex cornering maneuvers.
