Dior Presents Dior in Scotland Documentary, a Behind-The-Scenes Look At the Dior 2024 Cruise Show

Dior has unveiled Dior in Scotland a behind-the-scenes look at its 2025 Cruise Show, presented in June 2024 in Scotland’s famous Drummond Castle gardens

Maria Grazia Chiuri celebrates Scotland’s captivating textile heritage in the collection, initiating collaborations that revive the ties Monsieur Dior had forged with the country since the very beginnings of his House.

The film retraces the creative process of Dior’s Creative Director, from initial inspirations during a tantalizing immersion in the House’s Parisian archives to the runway show, including enriching exchanges with Scottish artisans. It reveals the perfect harmony between meticulous gestures in the Dior ateliers and exceptional savoir-faire in revisiting traditional kilts and tartans.

This journey across eras and regions is elevated by feminist historian Clare Hunter and her essay Embroidering Her Truth: Mary, Queen of Scots and the Language of Power, which explores the destiny of Mary Stuart, a sovereign figure whose resilience becomes the Ariadne’s thread for the Cruise Collection. Maria Grazia Chiuri showcases Scotland’s rich heritage, underscoring the importance and boundless diversity of its ancestral culture, from Harris Tweed Hebrides and Johnstons of Elgin, to artist Pollyanna Johnson and the founders of the brand Le Kilt. These creative dialogues come to life in the different virtuoso Dior silhouettes.

Available on the Dior YouTube channel since early December, this fabulous odyssey becomes a poetic homage to the magic of creation in myriad forms.
