Formula E, the world’s most sustainable motorsport, completed a successful fifth round at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Miami, Fla., today following a week of inspiring community-driven activations focused on sustainability, innovation, and education.

Porsche's Pascal Wehrlein Sealed Victory on Formula E's Return To the Sunshine State in the 2025 Miami E-Prix

Pascal Wehrlein (TAG Heuer Porsche) claimed victory at the 2025 Miami E-Prix after a dramatic late-race red flag and post-race penalties for Norman Nato (Nissan), who had initially crossed the finish line first. Lucas Di Grassi secured an impressive second place, delivering the first podium for LOLA Yamaha ABT. António Félix da Costa (TAG Heuer Porsche) completed the podium in third, marking a dominant performance for the TAG Heuer Porsche team in Miami. In the Drivers' Championship standings, Oliver Rowland (Nissan) maintains his lead with 68 points, followed closely by da Costa and Wehrlein.

In addition to the race, the Miami E-Prix delivered a full-throttle lineup of events that celebrated innovation, competition, and cross-discipline collaboration. The day kicked off with high-stakes qualifying laps at Homestead-Miami Speedway as drivers battled for pole position ahead of the main event. Inside the Media Center, Formula E Co-Founder and Chief Championship Officer Alberto Longo hosted an exclusive roundtable, offering insights into the series’ evolving business model and global growth plans.

He was followed by Julia Pallé, Formula E’s VP of Sustainability, who shared the league’s continued efforts to push the boundaries of environmental responsibility within motorsport. One of the day’s most talked-about moments came with the unprecedented Formula E/NASCAR Driver Swap, where Rajah Caruth and Jamie Chadwick took turns behind the wheels of the GEN3 Evo and ABB NASCAR, bringing two racing worlds together with commentary from an Andretti legend. The excitement culminated in the highly anticipated Miami E-Prix race, broadcast live on CBS, where fans witnessed the electric energy and razor-sharp performance that define Formula E.

Earlier in the week, Formula E amplified its commitment to sustainability and community engagement through a series of impactful local initiatives. The FIA Girls on Track program engaged 120 young women with workshops and career talks. A €25,000 donation to Sprout Up supported the development of a community garden, reinforcing education about food systems and the environment. Formula E also launched the "Driving Force" STEM-focused program with PIF and kicked off its Change. Accelerated. Live. thought leadership series, uniting experts in sustainability, tech, and sport.

Adding to the high-octane atmosphere, a star-studded roster of celebrity guests brought extra flair to the Miami E-Prix. Among those in attendance were Lucien Laviscount, of Emily in Paris, and Caleb McLaughlin, known for his standout role in the award-winning Netflix series Stranger Things. Also spotted trackside were American actor Sung Kang; two-time Formula One World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi and his son, Emerson Fittipaldi Jr.; actress and record-breaking car builder Emelia Hartford; and American DJ, model, and YouTube personality Chantel Jeffries. Olympic medalist fencer Miles Chamley-Watson, model and e-scooter racer Jordan Rand, Red Bull BMX athlete Nigel Sylvester, and fan-favorite motorsport figure Guenther Steiner also joined the action, cheering on the teams from Formula E’s exclusive VIP hospitality experience.

The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship continues at a double-header event, Rounds 6 and 7 in Monaco next month, on 3-4 May.
