Gary Nader Art Centre Opens Exhibition Celebrating Latin GRAMMY® History

The Gary Nader Art Centre announces the opening of “The Latin GRAMMY® Academy Collection: 25 Years of Music and Art,” an exhibition that celebrates the intersection of Latin music and visual arts. In collaboration with The Latin Recording Academy®, the exhibition will be on display from October 2 through December 2024.

This exhibition features official Latin GRAMMY® artworks created by acclaimed artists such as Romero Britto, Walter Goldfarb, Michael V. Rios, and Patssi Valdez. Visitors will experience a dynamic array of artistic techniques, including collage, muralism, and oil painting, reflecting diverse interpretations from artists across Latin America and beyond.

Gary Nader, founder of the Gary Nader Art Centre, emphasized the exhibition's significance: "It is a great privilege to present this unparalleled collection, which unites two potent expressions of Latin culture—music and visual art. Miami, with its deep-rooted connections to the Latin world, provides the ideal canvas for celebrating these artistic achievements."

The Latin GRAMMY Art Collection originated in 2000 when The Latin Recording Academy® commissioned visual artists to create works embodying the spirit of the awards. Over the past 25 years, this evolving collection has showcased the unique perspectives of exceptional artists.

In addition to the artworks, the exhibition will feature exclusive memorabilia from Latin music icons such as Emilio Estefan, Laura Pausini, Gustavo Cerati, and Joe Arroyo. These artifacts, alongside the art collection, illustrate the enduring influence of Latin music and culture on the global stage.

This exhibition invites art and music aficionados to engage with a culturally enriching experience that highlights the fusion of artistic disciplines defining Latin GRAMMY history.
