Honoring Our Heroes: Feeding South Florida®, Inter Miami CF, and Publix Unite for Veterans Appreciation Luncheon

Feeding South Florida® – the leading hunger-relief organization in South Florida – has teamed up with the Florida Panthers and Publix to honor South Florida veterans this Veterans Day. The Second Annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon will take place at Amerant Bank Arena on Monday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. 

Veterans from all branches of the military are invited to enjoy an afternoon including a chef-prepared meal, live entertainment and special recognition. The free event welcomes veterans and one guest. 

Feeding South Florida is experiencing an unprecedented increase in providing nutritious food to over 1.2 million individuals in South Florida due to inflation, the strained supply chain, rising fuel prices and increased housing costs among other factors. Veterans dedicate their lives to serving the United States. However, many veterans and active military members and their loved ones, face food insecurity.  According to Feeding America, one in nine working-age veterans are food insecure and 1.2 million low-income veterans use Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
