Mandarin Oriental Begins Ultra-Luxury Residential Expansion in the Americas with Miami’s Brickell Key

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, a leader in luxury hospitality, has announced an ambitious residential expansion plan to increase its presence in the United States and other select destinations in the Americas. The first in this series of high-end developments will be The Residences at Mandarin Oriental on Brickell Key in Miami. Further projects are set to launch in Puerto Rico, Boca Raton, Mexico, and Grand Cayman, signaling the brand’s strategic commitment to meeting growing demand for exclusive luxury living.

Construction for The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami, is scheduled to start in 2025. Located on the scenic Brickell Key, the development will feature two architecturally distinct towers connected by an expansive, landscaped podium that provides more than 80,000 square feet of amenities, both indoor and outdoor. This landmark project is designed to enhance the Miami skyline, reflecting Mandarin Oriental’s dedication to exceptional quality for both residents and visitors.

The South Tower of The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami, will be the first to open for sale, with units ranging from two- to five-bedroom options. Among its offerings is a premier $100 million duplex penthouse, boasting 23,000 square feet of living space, which includes a private infinity pool—one of the highest in Miami. Sales will be managed by Fortune Development Sales, and prices start at $4.9 million for a two-bedroom residence.

According to Laurent Kleitman, Chief Executive of Mandarin Oriental Group, the Miami development is essential to the Group’s strategy of expanding in the U.S. and across the Americas. Kleitman expressed the Group’s ambition to double its residential portfolio over the next decade by partnering with esteemed developers and designers who share Mandarin Oriental’s values of quality, sustainability, and community engagement. In addition to the Miami project, Mandarin Oriental’s new developments in Puerto Rico, Boca Raton, Riviera Maya, and Grand Cayman will continue to set high standards in luxury living.

Mandarin Oriental’s global reputation rests on a dual heritage of hospitality excellence: the refined service and cultural traditions from The Oriental in Bangkok, which opened almost 150 years ago, and the modern design and forward-thinking ethos of The Mandarin in Hong Kong, established in 1963. Mandarin Oriental’s commitment to sustainable practices is further demonstrated by recent accolades in three categories at the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards, reflecting the Group’s dedication to responsible and forward-thinking business.

By anticipating the evolving needs of its clients, Mandarin Oriental aims to deliver luxury living experiences that reflect the brand’s ethos, bringing its signature anticipatory service to destinations where residents and guests are likely to feel at home. With this expansion strategy, Mandarin Oriental strengthens its reputation as a transformative force in the ultra-luxury residential market.
