Miami HEAT 2024 Hispanic Heritage Event
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Miami HEAT supported families from the Title I Migrant Education Program (MEP) of Miami-Dade County Public Schools with a care package donation.
Presented by Florida Blue and Bally Sports, this event consisted of a care package assembly alongside migrant students from South Dade Senior High School, select HEAT staff, and partners. The 500 care packages contained non-perishable items, hygiene kits, and more. These packages will offer vital support to migrant families in need of resources for a healthier, more sustainable life. This event was part of a season-long initiative to raise funds and support migratory students and families, ensuring equal access to quality education and resources.
