Miami Marlins manager Skip Schumaker joined players Braxton Garrett, Jake Burger, Declan Cronin, Nick Fortes, and Jesus Luzardo to make the memorable visit in Hollywood. The major leaguers took photos, signed autographs, and handed out age-appropriate Joy Jars to the children —containers filled with toys designed to bring joy to children undergoing treatment and inspire them to "Never Ever Give Up" (NEGU). Lotsy Dotsy, the chief of clown services at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, joined the athletes in spreading cheer and handing out the Joy Jars.

“There are more important things in the world other than just baseball,” said Miami Marlins manager Skip Schumaker. ”It’s important that we, as players, understand that we have a platform to use, and during this day, we were able to help impact others and brighten the kids' days.”
