Miami Nonprofit to Host Glioblastoma Summit November 1-3

The Glioblastoma Research Organization (GBMRO), a nonprofit organization raising awareness and funds for cutting-edge research to find a cure for glioblastoma, is hosting its inaugural Glioblastoma Summit, a three-day event aimed at connecting the glioblastoma community.
The summit will take place November 1-3 in Miami, commencing with a welcome sunset reception at Arlo Wynwood, the event’s host hotel, followed by two days of groundbreaking keynotes and engaging panel discussions at The Sacred Space Miami.
During the summit, attendees will be able to learn about glioblastoma research advancements and updates in the field, listen to panel discussions with the world’s best neurosurgeons and neuro-oncologists, participate in live Q&A sessions, engage in specialized breakout rooms, and connect with fellow glioblastoma patients, caretakers and community members.

Dr. Randy S. D’Amico, MD, assistant professor of neurosurgery at Lenox Hill Hospital
Dr. David Langer, MD, chair of neurosurgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and vice president of neurosurgery for Northwell Health’s Western Region
Dr. John Boockvar, MD, vice chair of the department of neurosurgery at Lenox Hill Hospital, featured on Netflix’s Emergency NYC and Lenox Hill
Dr. Netanel Ben-Shalom, MD, FNPS, neurosurgeon at Lenox Hill Hospital, internationally recognized as the world’s first neurosurgeon to complete the Johns Hopkins Neuroplastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship
Dr. Rebecca M. Brown, MD, Ph.D., neuro-oncology assistant professor at Mount Sinai Hospital
Dr. Michael E. Ivan, MD, MBS, FAANS, neurosurgeon and scientist at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and co-director of neurosurgery at Jackson South Medical Center
