Oracle Red Bull SIM Racing Unveils Driver Line-up for 2025 F1 SIM Racing World Championship
Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing has revealed its driver line-up for the upcoming F1 Sim Racing World Championship, scheduled to return to LAN in January 2025.
Reigning Drivers’ Champion, Frederik Rasmussen, is joined by two-time Drivers’ Champion (2020, 2021) Jarno Opmeer, who signed for the Team in August earlier this year. The new teammates head into the season as the statistically strongest driver pairing, with more Championships – Drivers’ and Teams’ – wins, podiums and pole positions than the rest of the field.
On the upcoming season, Frede said: “To have finally won the Drivers’ Championship last season is a huge relief and no doubt there will be a target on my back heading into the new year. I’m confident that with the addition of Jarno to the Team, we can challenge for both titles once more.”
Competing alongside the Dane for the first time, Jarno commented: “I’m looking forward to the season getting underway now; pre-season testing with Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing has been going well, which is a good indicator that we can expect a strong season. Having a driver as consistent as Frede as a teammate really helps with the Teams’ fight when there are a lot of strong driver pairings on the grid.”
Off the back of a second Porsche Esports Supercup (PESC) Championship, and recently stepping up to test the RB8 at Red Bull Ring in October, Sebastian Job returns to the Team to round out the line-up.
The F1 Sim Racing World Championship is set to begin 14 January 2025 with Round 1 at Albert Park Circuit, the first time the track has appeared on the calendar since 2018.
