Pickleball Slam 2 Amateur Slam Heads To Miami Beach February 2-3, 2024
Horizon Sports & Experiences (HS&E) and InsideOut Sports + Entertainment announced the return of the Pickleball Slam’s Amateur Slam on February 2-3, 2023, with 128 amateur pickleball players descending on Miami Beach, FL. In the Amateur Slam 2, participants will compete for a $25,000 purse and the chance to take on tennis legends Stefanie Graf, Andre Agassi, John McEnroe, and Maria Sharapova.
Horizon Sports & Experiences (HS&E) and InsideOut Sports + Entertainment today announced the return of the Amateur Slam on February 2-3, 2023, with 128 amateur pickleball players descending on Miami Beach, FL. In the Amateur Slam 2, participants will compete for a $25,000 purse and the chance to take on tennis legends Stefanie Graf, Andre Agassi, John McEnroe, and Maria Sharapova.
The Amateur Slam 2 will take place in Miami Beach on world famous Lincoln Road at 1665 Lenox Avenue – between Michigan and Lenox Avenues. The tournament will welcome single-gender or mixed-gender doubles teams with a maximum combined DUPR rating of 8.5. Interested players can sign up today here.
The tournament begins Friday, February 2 with round-robin play through the round of sixteen. The action continues on Saturday, February 3 with the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals, followed by the winners of each bracket playing the tennis legends. All 64 teams are guaranteed to play at least three matches during the tournament.
Amateur Slam 2 Tournament Details:
64 total single-gender or mixed-gender teams with a maximum combined DUPR rating of 8.5 may enter.
$150 entry fee per player; each team is guaranteed at least 3 matches.
Teams will be assigned into 16 groups of four teams for round-robin play. Group winners and runners-up will advance to single elimination play in a winner’s and consolation draw, respectively.
Winners of both the main and consolation draws will win a share of the $25,000 prize purse and the chance to play against the legends in a pickleball match, among other prizes.

Tennis Legends Prepare for Pickleball Slam 2
Once the Amateur Slam 2 concludes, Graf, Agassi, McEnroe and Sharapova – four tennis icons with a combined 42 Grand Slam singles titles – will take on the amateur winners. It will be the legends’ final tune-up ahead of the Pickleball Slam 2, a primetime showcase for the sport with a $1M prize purse. In the Slam 2’s signature match, Graf and Agassi will take on McEnroe and Sharapova on Sunday, February 4, 2024, live on ESPN, from Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL.
