Pop Artist Hector Prado Takes Center Stage In Miami Residency
Internationally acclaimed pop artist Hector Prado has been selected as the artist-in-residence at Altis Grand Kendall in Miami. Known for his bold and experimental style, Prado's work merges graphic design and pop art to create pieces that have earned recognition at global events like the Cannes Festival, Emmy Awards, and the Louvre in Paris.
This marks Prado’s second time participating in Altman Living’s Artist-in-Residence program, which provides a South Florida artist with a rent-free apartment and studio space for one year. The program encourages artists to fine-tune their craft while fostering a culture of creativity within the community.
Born and raised in Colombia, Prado discovered his passion for art early in life. While he initially achieved success as a graphic designer, his transition to full-time artistry has been marked by extraordinary accolades, including prestigious awards and partnerships with major brands. In 2023, he was featured in the Louvre’s “New Emerging Masters” Carrousel exhibit, a testament to his innovative vision and artistic impact.
Prado’s residency at Altis Grand Kendall provides him with the opportunity to create and display new works while engaging with the community. He plans to lead monthly events and workshops, including art exhibitions and creative activities designed to inspire and connect residents.

In December, Prado showcased his commitment to this vision by leading an art walk at Altis Grand Kendall, featuring his work alongside pieces by over ten other artists. He credits Altman Living as the first developer to truly believe in his artistic vision, helping him integrate creativity into residential spaces.
