Nobu Beach Inn, a new luxury resort development on Barbuda, is set to open in early 2026. The resort will occupy 400 acres along more than two miles of beach on the island's southwest coast, a spot once favored by Princess Diana. The project, conceived by Robert De Niro, Daniel Shamoon, and James Packer, will feature 36 rooms across 17 bungalow cottages. The resort aims for environmentally sensitive development, utilizing renewable energy and focusing on community benefits, in line with Barbuda’s commitment to nature.
De Niro, a co-founder of Nobu Hospitality, has been involved in the project for over 30 years. This will be the only Nobu hotel where De Niro is an owner, alongside his partners. He is deeply involved in the design and concept of the resort, ensuring it aligns with the brand's global luxury standards.
The resort will include world-class restaurants, including Nobu, and a range of activities for guests, such as sailing expeditions, secluded picnics, and marine biology sessions. The property’s design emphasizes natural materials and low-density construction to blend with the Caribbean landscape.
Pre-sales are underway for 25 beachfront villa lots, priced starting at $12M. Buyers will have the option to customize interiors and furnishings. Custom lots will be available in the future. All three partners will have personal homes on the property, underscoring their commitment to the development.
