The Rock House: Turks & Caicos Luxury Stay Guide

Updated: 12 minutes ago

Situated on 14 acres of the pristine Turks and Caicos shoreline, Rock House offers a luxurious tranquil escape just three miles from Providenciales International Airport. Upon my arrival, I was immediately struck by its distinctive charm. The resort, carved directly into white limestone, boasts a unique aesthetic that evokes the Mediterranean. It felt as though I had been transported straight to the Amalfi Coast.

As I explored the property I stumbled into a winding pathway which overlooks crystal clear waters, leading me to a stunning infinity pool—the largest on the island—overlooking the turquoise ocean. Along the way, I came across cozy seating areas hidden in lush vegetation, offering peaceful, private spots with breathtaking ocean views.

ACCOMODATIONS

The Rock House offers 46 luxurious studios and villas, each designed with white-wash finishes, clean lines, modern touches, and natural accents. Mediterranean-inspired design enhances the serene atmosphere, while private pools and terraces add to the sense of exclusivity.

The accommodation options include oceanfront studios, ocean view ridge studios, oceanfront pool view studios, oceanfront one-bedroom suites, ocean view ridge one-bedroom suites, oceanfront two-bedroom suites, and ocean view ridge two-bedroom suites.

For those seeking even more space and privacy, the Reserve Villas offer ocean view two-bedroom, ocean view two-bedroom with den, ocean view three-bedroom, and ocean view five-bedroom villas. Each space is thoughtfully designed for relaxation and luxury, offering a perfect blend of privacy and breathtaking views.

DINNING

The Rock House features two distinct culinary venues: Vita Restaurant and Cave Bar. At Vita, you can enjoy al fresco Adriatic cuisine with Caribbean influences, paired with Rock ‘N’ Roll-inspired cocktails, all while taking in stunning ocean views from a perch over 30 feet above the sea. Dinner is served from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM, with live music on Thursdays at 6:30 PM, and breakfast is also available. Just steps away, Cave Bar offers an intimate ambiance with natural rock walls and handcrafted cocktails. It hosts live DJ sessions on Saturdays at 5:30 PM and operates daily from 11:00 AM to 10:30 PM.

AMENITIES

There’s plenty to do at Rock House. First, you can’t miss swimming in the island’s largest infinity pool, an impressive 100-foot expanse lined with private cabanas and a Beach Club. After my gym workout, I took a morning swim and had the pool nearly to myself. It’s the centerpiece of the property and the perfect place to unwind.

The resort also offers water bikes, paddleboards, and clear kayaks for guests to fully experience ocean life. For those who want more adventure, guided kayak tours, private island day trips, and activities like snorkeling and scuba diving are available. There’s also a waterfront yoga experience to enhance your wellness journey. Plus, Rock House’s gym, which overlooks the pool, is fully equipped with the latest cardio machines, free weights, and machines—a great spot if you like to keep up with your workouts while on vacation.

SUSTAINABILITY

I noticed the resort’s great sustainability efforts, which include repurposing native limestone, planting over 4,000 indigenous trees (supported by an on-site plant nursery), and offering eco-friendly amenities such as bamboo room keys and reusable water bottles. Grey water harvesting is used throughout the resort to help preserve and minimize water use.
