For Valo founder and CEO Ed Kearney, the Hyperfoil realizes a lifelong dream inspired by childhood fascination with hydrofoil technology. Kearney’s vision, combined with collaboration from industry experts like foiling naval architect Paul Bieker, fueled the craft’s swift development. The team’s agile approach and commitment to robust design principles led to significant enhancements in stability, agility, and performance.

Technological Innovation

At the heart of the Valo Hyperfoil’s performance lies its foil package and shaft-driven propulsion system. Achieving a maximum speed of 35 knots and over two hours of endurance on a single charge, the craft represents a paradigm shift in marine mobility. The proprietary Skyride software ensures stability and agility, making each ride safe and exhilarating, while also scaling seamlessly into foil systems for us in larger boats and ships.
