From the moment I arrived at Wymara Resort & Villas, I felt an overwhelming sense of tranquility. The open-air lobby welcomed me with a gentle Caribbean breeze, immediately putting me at ease. Its airy design drew my eyes to the gorgeous 7,000-square-foot mosaic-tiled infinity pool, surrounded by lush palm trees and vibrant red bougainvilleas.
Beyond the pool, I took in the breathtaking view of Grace Bay Beach, and I couldn’t resist the urge to walk toward the shore and dive into the famous turquoise waters of Turks & Caicos.
At first glance, I noticed how the resort’s architecture resembled the iconic Art Deco style of South Beach. The clean white facades, symmetrical proportions, and sleek linear designs gave the property a timeless elegance.
ACCOMODATIONS
Situated on a four-acre oceanfront site, Wymara offers a luxurious blend of minimalist design and thoughtful amenities. With 91 all-white rooms and suites accented by vibrant pops of color, guests can choose from studio layouts to expansive three-bedroom oceanfront suites and penthouses, all with stunning ocean views and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Each accommodation is equipped with high-end features, including fully stocked kitchens with premium appliances, spa-inspired bathrooms with rain showers and separate tubs in select suites, plush Frette linens, and blackout blinds. Guests enjoy daily housekeeping, turndown service, complimentary WiFi, and the ultimate comfort of Sterling Hospitality Sleep System beds.
For those seeking a more private retreat, Wymara’s exclusive four- and five-bedroom hillside villas provide extra seclusion and panoramic views over Turtle Tail Bay. These residences feature infinity pools, sunken fire pits, and expansive indoor and outdoor living areas. Villa guests also have access to a private Sports Club, bespoke dining experiences, and dedicated services such as an on-site manager and 24-hour security.
DINNING
Wymara Resort offers two exceptional dining options: Indigo and Zest. Indigo, helmed by Chef Andrew Mirosch, features a Caribbean-inspired menu with a focus on sustainable seafood, local produce, and health-conscious options, including gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian dishes. Signature items include white sturgeon caviar, Caribbean mahi-mahi, and roasted cauliflower steak. Zest is a chic, casual beachfront restaurant offering stunning views of Grace Bay and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere for dining by the ocean.
For special occasions, Wymara provides private dining experiences with personalized menus crafted by Chef Mirosch. The resort also caters to Kosher dining needs in partnership with Rabbi Berkowitz, offering custom Kosher menus for weddings and events.
SPA
Wymara Spa offers a tranquil retreat with organic and holistic signature treatments using Éminence Organic Skin Care products. For every product sold, a tree is planted. The spa features a peaceful relaxation garden and meditation space, enhancing the overall wellness experience. Guests also have access to a 24-hour fitness center, along with outdoor yoga, barre, and boot camp classes.
AMENITIES
The property’s extensive amenities include a VIP concierge service, daily breakfast, and babysitting (additional cost). Guests can enjoy beach games, a boutique, high-speed internet, an infinity outdoor pool, and personal chef services. Water sports, snorkeling equipment, boat and yacht rentals, and tennis at the villas are also available, offering a wide variety of activities. The resort is smoke-free and provides in-room spa treatments for ultimate relaxation.
SUSTAINABILITY
There were several sustainability efforts that I experienced firsthand worth mentioning. Most notably were the property’s replacement of plastic water bottles with refillable stations including Wymara-branded bottles. The keyless entry system reduces plastic card use. Aesop’s vegan, refillable amenities are used and plastic straws, containers, and bags are no longer used. They’ve also reduced linen replacements and repurpose water for landscaping to conserve resources.
